Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to that organization. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

The Service is intended for business and professional use. By creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you represent that you are acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft, profession, or organization and not primarily as a consumer.

The service

WorldFeedMonitor is an API-first platform that ingests publicly available RSS and news feeds from sources around the world, enriches them with automated categorization and metadata, indexes them, and makes the results available to you as structured data through our API and interfaces.

We may add, modify, or remove features, sources, and data at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular source, feed, article, or data field will be available, complete, accurate, or continuously provided.

Accounts & credentials

To use most of the Service you must register an account and generate API credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

• You are responsible for safeguarding your API key and secret and for all activity that occurs under your credentials.
• You must not share, sell, or transfer your credentials, and you must notify us promptly at security@worldfeedmonitor.com of any suspected unauthorized use.
• We may suspend or revoke credentials that we reasonably believe have been compromised or misused.

Acceptable use

When using the Service you agree that you will not:

• Exceed the rate limits or usage allowances of your plan, or circumvent any technical limitations, throttling, or access controls;
• Use the Service to build a product whose primary purpose is to replicate or resell the raw aggregated feed in a manner that competes with the Service, except as expressly permitted by your plan;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems and networks;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including by transmitting malware or conducting denial-of-service activity;
• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, including intellectual property, privacy, and export-control laws;
• Remove, obscure, or alter any attribution, source, or copyright information provided with the data.

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably determine violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users.

Plans, fees & billing

The Service is offered under paid subscription plans. We may offer eligible customers a free trial as described below. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or as otherwise stated at checkout) through our payment processor, Stripe.

• Free trials. We may offer a free trial for eligible paid plans. Unless cancelled before the end of the trial period, the subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and the applicable subscription fee will be charged using the payment method provided at signup. The duration and conditions of the trial will be shown at signup.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods unless cancelled before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds. Except where required by applicable law, subscription fees are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your access to the applicable paid plan will continue until the end of the current billing period.
• Taxes. Fees are exclusive of taxes; you are responsible for any applicable VAT, sales, or similar taxes, and you must provide accurate tax information (including VAT number where applicable).
• Changes. We may change plan pricing or features; changes to recurring fees will take effect at your next renewal after we give you reasonable prior notice.

Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.

Content & intellectual property

As between you and us, WorldFeedMonitor and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Service itself — the website, the software and APIs, our aggregation and enrichment technology, our taxonomy and category system, the metadata and category labels we generate, and our names, logos, and branding — together with all related intellectual property.

We claim no ownership of the underlying news content the Service aggregates. Rights in headlines, article text, images, and other publisher material remain with the publishers and rights holders, as set out under Third-party content. Our rights extend to the platform and to what we add on top of that content, not to the content itself.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service and the data it returns in accordance with these Terms and your plan. That license is ours to give only so far as our own rights reach; it does not grant you any right in publisher content beyond what the originating source permits.

Any AI-generated enrichment (such as category labels and metadata) is provided “as is” and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing and validating data before relying on it.

Third-party content

The Service aggregates headlines, summaries, links, and metadata from third-party publishers and RSS sources. WorldFeedMonitor does not own the underlying news content, and all rights in that content remain with the respective publishers and rights holders.

Access to third-party content through the Service does not grant any additional right to reproduce, redistribute, publish, or commercially exploit that content beyond the rights granted by the applicable rights holder or permitted by law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of third-party content obtained through the Service complies with the terms, licenses, and applicable laws of the originating sources. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or content of any third-party material.

Disclaimers

The Service and all data are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that data will be accurate, complete, or timely.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WorldFeedMonitor and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to us during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WorldFeedMonitor from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or third-party right.

Term & termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, for example by posting the updated Terms with a new “Last updated” date or by contacting you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
